Shelled hazelnuts can be eaten whole, chopped, or ground. Briefly roast shelled hazelnuts and rub with a towel while still warm to remove skins.

Tasty Tip

Raw or roasted, chopped hazelnuts add something special in or sprinkled on casseroles, side vegetables, and salads. And don’t forget the desserts! Mix into the batter or sprinkle on top of your favorite sweets (especially anything chocolate) and holiday cookies.
